Fishing for fish that live in rivers and tributaries that flow into the Black Sea can be very interesting and exciting.
In the winter, when temperatures drop well below freezing, it's time to go hunting for hucho.
I offer fishing on various Slovenian rivers such as Gradaščica, Sava Bohinjka, Sava and Kolpa. Or you can join me on a boat and go fishing in our capital-Ljubljana.

Gradaščica is a smaller body of water that flows into the Ljubljanica. It has a large amount of huchos but usually smaller in size. They rarely reach a length of over 110 cm, but every year they catch at least one.

The Sava is one of the best, if not the best, river in Europe for fishing for hucho. We can go to the upper part as well as the lower part of the Sava. Specimens grow up to 140cm. Specimens of more than one meter in length are not uncommon.

Kolpa is a lesser-known river for catching hucho, but no less exciting. It has longer deep pools in which these beautiful fish are hidden.


Ljubljanica is exceptional water for both hucho and pike. So fishing on the Ljubljanica allows fishing for both hucho and pike. You can go to the city center or higher upstream to enjoy nature.
