For the third time this year, I set off to the Dolomites, specifically to a more southern part. My family and I camped in a pleasant campsite in the middle of a narrow valley. The second day, I headed to the Marison stream. The original plan was to fish in the Piave River, but it was too muddy due to heavy storms. The stream is about the size of a Slovenian one, like the Kamniška Bistrica in its upper section. I fished in the catch and release section, which was about two kilometers long. I started at the end of the stretch and finished at the last dam. The stream is mostly inhabited by brown trout and rare marble trouts. I managed to catch about ten brown trouts. The largest was around 50 cm, which is quite a trophy for a stream of this size. Unfortunately, I had no luck with the marble trout. For fishing, I recommend using smaller streamers or larger nymphs and a rod with a weight of 3.
