The start of fly fishing season was unfortunately difficult. A bad start on Rižana and Ižica where I lost a couple of nice fish. Then I fished on the Kokra River where it wasn’t exactly the best either. Then I improved the start a bit with some nice fishing on the Vipava River where I got a couple of nice hybrids . Followed a good day in Italy.Then came the first fishing for pike where there were nothing but two bites. On the second fishing for pike, boom 90 centimeter long hucho. It caught at about 4 meters. Of course, I had to wait about thirty seconds for the fly to sink. Then came a day that comes only a few times a year. It was before a storm. And I went fly fishing on the Vipava River. That day I lost two marble trout at least 70 centimeters long and a couple of smaller ones. In the end, I was satisfied with a nice marble trout, which was just a bandage on the wound. Of course I cast a 12 cm streamers, that’s when they usually fall off…

As for guiding, I had a few guests, but the real season is just starting.
